Hany Salaam | A university for all

Georgetown University has gained over the decades a reputation for embracing students from all cultures, paths of life, ethnicities, social backgrounds, religions, genders etc… On campus, each student will find in the various 350 clubs and centers, other people who share the same interests and goals. Alumni and entrepreneurs, like Hany Salaam , have also invested over the years to help Georgetown University strive and provide students with a one of a kind college experience.   The Salaam Intercultural Resource Center that houses the MSFS (Master of Science in Foreign Services) programme was established by a grant from the Salaam Foundation in 1989 by former president Jimmy Carter.   The man behind the grant and the idea of providing students with such a center was businessman and entrepreneur Hany Salaam who chose this endeavor to honor the memory of his late father Mohammad Salaam. The Hany Salaam family legacy continues with HRH Princess Ghida

  The Hany Salaam family name has been omnipresent in the world of politics, business but also philanthropy and it seems that the apple doesn't fall from the tree. Businessman and well known diplomat Hany Salaam´s daughter HRH Princess Ghida Talal has been keeping up with the family legacy by being a Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation.  At the inauguration of the expansion of King Hussein Cancer Center   After graduating from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, HRH Princess Ghida Talal pursued a career in journalism in London.  During her time at Georgetown, her father Hany Salaam inaugurated the The Salaam Intercultural Resource Center that houses the MSFS (Master of Science in Foreign Services) programme.
